Wizards @ Lakers Full Preview and Predictions

The Lakers are hosting the Wizards for the second time this season, in the Staples Center, LA.In the first matchup, the Wiz's just couldn't contain the guard spot, which led to a 30 point Kobe game and an effective bench scoring from Jodie Meeks.Lakers have been better since the brake, and are now in the
Western Conference playoff picture, currently 8th seeded.

Where: Staples Center,Los Angeles,CA
When:  10:30 PM ET
Injuries: Lakers: Hill (out), Wizards: none.

Both Lakers stars, Kobe and Pau are expected to return from their injuries which
held them away from the hardwood. After missing the game against Phoenix
Kobe is returning in the lineup for tonight's game.He rested his sore ankle from
the last minute injury in the loss to the Hawks.Pau has been out almost month
and a half with torn plantar fascia.
The Wizards have been good recently, winning 6 of the last ten, after the bad
start. The reason for the good record recently is John Wall's case.He has been
rock solid recently and without his fellow backcourt teammate, Bradley Beal.
Wall's been averaging 23.7 PPG and 8.4 ASP in the last 7 games filling the
scoring spot that Beal left unmarked after his ankle injury. The rookie has been
good so far and is in the top 5 race for the ROY, but Dame has it with just a
little less then a month left. He's also shown terrific rebounding ability and has
been very good from downtown. He's hitting behind the arc shots with accuracy
of 38.7%, which is quite solid, and pulling down 3.9 rebounds per game.

John Wall has been on fire recently

Wizards Keys to the Game:
  • Contain Kobe Bryant
  • Get easy fast break points
  • Have the rebounding edge.
Lakers Keys to the Game:
  • Perimeter Defense
  • Contain John Wall
  • Pick-n-Roll Scoring
Prediction
With the duo back for the Lakers, and the home crowd as their sixth player the
Lakers should have the edge in this one.Doing the things pointed above should
help them get the W.
Washington Wizards 90 Los Angeles Lakers 104
